Global Digital Governance Lead and Sr. Data Scientist

 

Global governance researcher with a specialisation in AI, cybersecurity and data, gender, and international organisations. I am particularly interested in exploring mechanisms for reducing inequality and fostering inclusive deliberation. 15 years of professional experience in international development, finance and humanitarian aid, as a data scientist, researcher and communications professional. I am currently Head of Anticipatory Action and Innovation at the UNU Centre for Policy Research in New York. I am also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa Research Chair on Accountable AI in a Global Context and regularly teach two courses in international cooperation at the Université de Montréal.

GENDER REBOOT

I just published my first book, Gender Reboot, about gender rights in the age of AI. The book aims to understand gender risks of AI - discrimination, stereotyping, and exclusion from a historical and systemic perspective.
